With performance options ranging from a half-hour to ninety minutes, Claussen keeps audiences entertained with her unique introductions as well as her engaging playing.
Capturing the Mood of Celtic Harp
Playing versions of Scottish and Irish melodies that others call “fresh” and “a delight to the ear,” Claussen embraces both the traditional and contemporary styles in Celtic harp music. In her performances she seeks to communicate the heart of each tune, often sharing a bit of context, an image, or her personal connection to the music. A two-time winner at the master level in the Minnesota Scottish harp competition as well as the 2018 US National Harp Scottish champion, Claussen continues to explore new ways to present Celtic harp music.
Dance tunes and airs from Scotland and Ireland remain at the core of her repertoire.
