Description
I wrote the Left Hand Etude collection as a way to creatively focus on left hand techniques that continue to challenge me even after three decades of playing harp: fourth finger cross-unders, 3-4-3 turn-arounds, playing beautifully-phrased melodies in the left hand, jumping back and forth between low notes and high chords, and bracketing complex chords together. Inspired by famous figures and works of music, these eight etudes will hopefully inspire you creatively as well as improve your left hand technique! Perfect for harpists who need to give their right hands a break due to overuse or injury.
For lever harp or pedal harp
Some fingerings and brackets included.
Late Intermediate
The lowest note is the F an octave and a half below middle C however 7 of the 8 etudes only go to the G an octave and a half below middle C.
